Frida Kahlo would be proud—and that’s just based on the hospitality alone. This establishment delivers an authentic, culturally rich dining experience that draws inspiration from the past while knowing exactly when to add a modern twist. From the decor to the dishes, everything feels like a tribute to art, tradition, and flavor. If you’re lucky enough to visit on a night when Erik, Anna, or Morgan (or all three!) are holding it down, your evening is bound to be even more special. Vibrant food, soulful service, and an atmosphere that celebrates culture in every corner.

Frida’s Kitchen Bar is a hidden gem that beautifully blends neo-Mexican decor with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the vibrant and artistic ambiance—it truly feels like a space that celebrates Mexican culture in a modern and stylish way. The customer service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure my experience was top-notch. They started off by bringing complimentary chips and three delicious salsas—a traditional red salsa, a creamy avocado salsa verde, and a unique bean salsa, all packed with flavor. For my meal, I had the chilaquiles with chicken and eggs, which were cooked to perfection—crispy, saucy, and full of bold flavors. Paired with a well-brewed coffee, it made for a perfect meal. The menu offers a great selection of authentic Mexican dishes, and I can’t wait to come back and try more. With plenty of space for big parties and a full bar, this is a great spot for both casual dining and special gatherings. If you’re looking for great food, inviting decor, and top-tier service, Frida’s Kitchen Bar is a must-visit!

Just passing through from Waco to Houston, decided to stop here for lunch after seeing the reviews, so glad we did! We ordered the chicken fajitas for 2, it was a large portion and the chips and 3 different dip/salsas were delicious! I ate my portion of the chicken with the fresh tomatillo sauce, it was incredibly fresh and vibrant. We will be back the next time we head this way.

I really enjoyed my experience at this place. The food was delicious, with great presentation and excellent quality. I also tried the flan for dessert and absolutely fell in love with it—so delicious! The service was fantastic; the staff was very kind and friendly. Our dishes arrived in just 15 minutes, and we were a group of about ten people—so imagine how fast and efficient they are! My Mexican friends loved this place because they serve authentic Mexican food.

Frida’s Kitchen Bar, where were you when I went to A&M? I would have been there all the time. Excellent food and drinks and great staff. If you haven’t been to Frida’s, it’s time!! Shoutout to Araceli for her recommendations. My margarita was delicious (and much needed)! The street corn is great to start and the fajita beef was so tender. I really liked the spice on the enchiladas too. And save room for dessert!!

Incredibly good fajitas. 10/10. They separated the toppings into different cups, which made me incredibly happy as I hate when my toppings touch. All the food tasted very fresh and the service was fast despite the restaurant being busy. Interior is very cute, and they have plenty of patio seating.

This place was AMAZING! We walked in around 10 am on a Sunday. There were a few people there. Everyone was friendly. We ordered drinks and food and then people started pouring in. We received our food and realized why people were pouring in. This food was delicious! The guacamole was so fresh and smooth! Ive never tasted another like it! I ordered pozole to go. This was the BEST Mexican food I've had! I love Mexican food and this is top notch!! We will definitely be visiting this place on a regular. I want to try the whole menu! This visit made my whole day. I'm so happy it popped up when I searched food near me.
